Jason Aldean will kick off season two of CMT’s fan-favorite series, “CMT Campfire Sessions.” The show features a star-packed lineup of music’s biggest names as they strip down their biggest hits, share new music, and swap stories with friends fireside for an intimate night of music.

Tune in to see Jason on the first of seven new episodes on July 15 at 10pm ET / 9pm CT.

If you can’t catch the premiere, tune in for one of the encores airing on Friday, July 22 at 8pm and 3am CT and Saturday, July 23 at 6pm and 10pm CT.

Jason Aldean celebrates three weeks at the top of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles chart and Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with his 27th career No. One single “Trouble With a Heartbreak.” Aldean now has back-to-back multi-week chart toppers from his 10th studio album MACON, GEORGIA. The haunting tracks follows the multi-week Platinum No. One “If I Didn’t Love You” featuring Carrie Underwood, which earned ACM “Single of the Year” and iHeart “Country Song of the Year,” along with a GRAMMY nomination.

“It’s a really big deal to me to have a three-week No. One, especially after all these years doing what we do,” Aldean said. “The support of Country radio and the fans makes me that much more ready to see all of you back out on the road.”

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. When I was 5 months pregnant I was in the pit up against the stage. Crazy? Yeah. Dedicated? Hell yeah! During “She’s Country,” I waved an Aldean hat in the air and got my first autograph.

What’s one thing that sets you apart from other Jason Aldean fans? I have traveled to see Jason in 8 different cities. I know all of his songs like the back of my hand. My husband and I are high school sweethearts of 12 years now and use his song “Dirt Road Anthem” to get through tough times. We love us some Aldean!

Tell us your favorite Jason Aldean related story. My husband and I see Jason at least once a year. In 2018, my husband got us tickets to see Jason in CT, nearly 400 miles away, days before our wedding day. To see Jason, no distance is too far so off we went. My husband would not tell me why he got tickets in CT. Right before the show, my husband reached into his wallet and gave me a slip of paper that he had picked up at the box office. It was meet and greet tickets! My lifelong goal had been accomplished. I met the living legend and one of the best country music artists ever. I get goosebumps still just thinking about it.

Billboard sat down with Jason Aldean to discuss his new album, inspiration, politics, and more.

“Aldean has a track record of success with duets, noting chart leaders including ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ with Kelly Clarkson, ‘Drowns The Whiskey’ with Miranda Lambert, and ‘The Only Way I Know’ with Luke Bryan and Eric Church. He recently added to that tally with the three-week No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay hit ‘If I Didn’t Love You’ with Carrie Underwood. The song also earned a Grammy nomination, and ACM Award and CMT Music Awards wins, and is nominated for top country song at the Billboard Music Awards on May 15.

“‘When I heard that song, I felt like there was something different,’ he says. ‘That one was undeniable. My biggest concern was if we could get [Carrie] on the song. You never know if she’s getting ready to drop a new single or album, and that gets hung up sometimes between labels. It just came along at the right time. And she, of course, knocked it out of the park.'”

Jason Aldean spoke to The Tennessean to discuss his 10th studio album, MACON, GEORGIA, releasing April 22nd, and reflect on his 17-year career.

“Aldean’s latest album kicks off his career’s next era.”

“‘Macon, Georgia’ finds Aldean honed in on his vision for this era of his career. On past albums, songs like ‘She’s Country’ and his version of Colt Ford and Brantley Gilbert’s rap-country movement progenitor ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ were songs that the artist feared could fail. Now, he’s instead locked in on 20 new songs and ten re-released live versions of fan-favorite material.”

“More important than any other song on ‘Macon, Georgia’ is ‘Your Mama.’ The performer considers the song about his mother – who raised him as a single parent – as the most personal song he’s ever recorded. ‘I would never normally sing a song like that,’ he says. But now, at a place where he can reward the effort she put into raising him, he feels the song is warranted.”

Jason Aldean will perform at the 49th Country Music Festival on the night of Thursday, June 9th at Nissan Stadium. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit music education programs throughout the U.S. via the CMA Foundation.
