Multi-platinum country rocker Jason Aldean stormed the charts this week with his fourth studio album MY KINDA PARTY. The robust 15-track album sold an impressive 193,000 units, making it the highest album debut of last week and the biggest first week debut by a male vocalist in over three years. Kenny Chesney set the previous high mark in Sept. 2007.

“I can’t say enough about my fans and this incredible ride we are all taking together. Don’t count out the kids who live out in the sticks, drive pickup trucks, wear John Deere hats and like their country music on the rockin’ side. There are a whole lot of us,” laughed Aldean. “It’s always exciting to put out new music and see what the reaction will be. It’s been a killer week, and now I’m focused on performing on the CMAs with Kelly Clarkson tonight. It’ll be special and like nothing I’ve ever done on TV before.”

The Associated Press said of the song, “on the power ballad ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ — a string-laden duet with Kelly Clarkson — Aldean shows what a potent vocalist he’s become. Matching roof-shaking notes with his strong-lunged partner, Aldean proves he can sing as solidly as he rocks.”

The CMA Awards air live tonight on ABC at 8/7 PM CST.

Nashville, TN.—Nov. 1, 2010— After commanding both the radio and sales charts this year, multi-platinum country music star Jason Aldean releases his fourth studio album MY KINDA PARTY tomorrow. Aldean is offering fans more music for their money with the 15 track album, highlighted by a stunning duet with superstar Kelly Clarkson and more of the boundary-pushing country rock sound that Aldean’s fans have come to expect.

“We took more time to make this record than any other we’ve done, and I definitely think you can hear that in the singing. There are some big songs on here, but I also feel like my voice was in the best shape to deliver them…you can’t exactly phone in a duet with Kelly Clarkson because she has those huge pipes. I’m really proud of how the whole album sounds,” says Aldean.

Aldean’s release schedule is jam-packed starting Nov. 2 with a performance on NBC’s TODAY and an intimate sold-out album release show at NYC’s Irving Plaza. He will make his way to the west coast for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Nov. 5, and from there Aldean will head back to Nashville to perform on ABC’s broadcast of the 2010 Country Music Awards on Nov. 10. He will also perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Nov.15.

Aldean is currently nominated for two American Music Awards in the “Favorite Male Country Artist” and “Favorite Country Album” categories, as well as “Male Artist of the Year” at the American Country Awards and “Favorite Male Artist” and “Favorite Country Artist” at the People’s Choice Awards.
