Aldean insists he’s not singling out any part of America by giving the lyrics — written by lesser known country artists Neil Thrasher and Michael Dulaney — wider exposure. The heavies in the song are first-class airplane travelers who deem the rural quarters of the nation unworthy of close engagement. They’re from coastal states. But they could come from anywhere.
“I guarantee you that there are plenty of people in Atlanta who think that way,” he says.

The follow-up to his latest album My Kinda Party has already been cut. Aldean isn’t sure when it will be released, but is confident that new material will see daylight later in 2012 — and that his fans will encounter more surprises when the album comes out.

“It’s a lot like ‘Party’ in that there are some things that are a little off the wall. There’s one called ‘Wheels Rollin’ ’ that’s almost like (Bon Jovi’s) ‘Wanted Dead or Alive.’ Another one, ‘Black Tears,’ talks about an exotic dancer. There are things that people in the country music world might shy away from because they’re racy. If a song is good, I’m not worried about if it’s too suggestive.”

Aldean’s 2012 MY KINDA PARTY TOUR has sold out all 18 shows so far this year, including Rodeo Houston at Reliant Stadium where he set the all-time record with 74,901 fans and the IZOD Center where he set a new record for a Country concert with more than 19,000 fans, breaking Shania Twain’s previous record of 15,749 in 2003.

This year’s production was upped to a 360-degree configuration to give more fans the opportunity to purchase tickets. Fellow Georgia natives Luke Bryan and Lauren Alaina have both been serving as opener for Aldean this year, with DeeJay Silver returning to the tour to keep the party going between sets.

“These last few months on the road have been unbelievable, and the crowds this weekend were killer,” said Aldean. “We are off to Vegas next for the ACMs and will hopefully have a little luck on and off the blackjack tables!”

Additionally, Aldean is nominated for six ACM Awards, including his second consecutive nods for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Fans can vote in the Entertainer of the Year category on +www.VoteACM.com through show day. The April 1 show will air live from Las Vegas on CBS.

Aldean’s current single “Fly Over States” is climbing up the Top 15 at country radio and comes on the heels of four consecutive No. one singles off the top-selling country album of 2011 and reigning CMA Album of the Year MY KINDA PARTY.

“By far, this is probably the most fun ever because of the fact I did not have a clue as to what it was going to be from one session to the next,” Lionel says. “What started out as a group of very talented, very successful collaborations with great artists ended up, brand new, very good old friends. We’ve had so much fun. I learned more jokes. I’ve gotten more jokes to tell. I have jokes I can never say again.”

Tuskegee debuted at No. 1 on iTunes Canada on Monday, the day of its Canadian release. The album is also available in United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Europe and Australia, and will be released to the rest of the world on Monday.

On Tuesday, March 27, Jason Aldean will duet with Richie on “Say You, Say Me” on Late Show with David Letterman.

The Academy of Country Music and dick clark productions will tape an all-star concert special, ACM PRESENTS: Lionel Richie and Friends–In Concert, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show will air on CBS on April 13 at 9 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. CT. Some of his greatest hits will be performed by Jason, as well as Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Jennifer Nettles, Kenny Rogers and many more.

Travel, transportation, and lodging are not included in this prize package. Sponsor and its Agents make no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, performance or safety of any prize awarded. Limit of one prize per person, household and address. Prizes will be delivered only to addresses in the United States or Canada. The timing and method of delivery of the prize will be determined as the sole discretion of Sponsor and its Agents. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in the prize being forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The winner shall bear all risks of loss or damage to prize after it has been delivered. No prize substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and its Agents. Prizes may not be transferred.
