Kristen Bell is returning to the CMT Awards this summer, and this time, she’s bringing Jason Aldean.

The duo will host this year’s country music celebration airing live on CMT June 5 from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

“I had so much fun hosting the CMT Awards last year, so I was thrilled to be invited back this year,” says Bell. “I think Jason Aldean is one of country music’s best and promises to be an excellent co-host.”

Bell announced her return earlier this week, while the duo revealed Aldean’s involvement by tweeting a photo of the country singer donning a Veronica Mars t-shirt. Bell, meanwhile, modeled a concert tee from one of Aldean’s shows.

“I’m always looking for new challenges,” said Aldean. “Hosting a show has always seemed fun, but it has never felt like the right time. I think now that I’ve checked a few big things off my bucket list recently, I want to keep pushing myself. I’m excited that I’ll have Kristen to lean on, too… She and I have spent a little time together, and she always cracks me up. Plus, I heard she’s got a thing for ‘Big Green Tractors,’ so we’ve got that in common.”

Aldean is an 11-time CMT Award nominee and has been a CMT Artist of the Year honoree each of the three years the titles have been awarded.

McGraw’s music special was taped on April 8 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. The show showcases some of music’s biggest stars as well as a few of McGraw’s friends from the television and movie industries.

All proceeds from the show will go directly to the ACM Lifting Lives program, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music.

The album will also include two new Alabama tracks, the first new songs from the now-trio since the group embarked on a farewell tour more than a decade ago. Since then, the band’s appearances have been sporadic. In 2011, Alabama reunited to play with Brad Paisley on his song “Old Alabama,” which featured the band, at the ACM Awards (and also appeared on the video). Last year, they played the multi-artist festival Stagecoach.

Aldean is also a finalist for Top Country Album, a category he won last year with his Double Platinum album MY KINDA PARTY, as well as Top Country Artist.
