Jason’s two concerts were also the first country shows to ever be held at Boston’s iconic Fenway Park. “I heard we also set a new all time record for beer sales,” laughed Aldean. “They drank Boston dry…it was wild!”

The first show sold out in a record-setting seven minutes last fall prompting the addition of a second show which blew through every ticket in just 45 minutes. Both nights featured special guests Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett.

“Boston is my kinda town,” said Aldean. “There were fans in the streets partying all day, so they were ready when we hit the stage, and they just never let up…so neither did we! This was a huge night in my career and I think a big night for country music fans too…we were able to write some new history together here in Boston tonight.”

The star-studded awards show is scheduled to air in a two-hour presentation live from the Gibson Ampitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 8PM ET on FOX. In Canada, the Teen Choice Awards airs on Global TV.

The fundraising concert raised more than $2 million for The One Fund Boston on May 30.

Viewers will have the opportunity to make donations to The One Fund Boston during the entire broadcast.
