JASON BREAKS ATTENDANCE RECORD HELD BY GEORGE STRAIT AT FRONTIER DAYS

July 29, 2013

On the eight anniversary of the release of his debut album, Jason has already broken the all-time attendance record at Cheyenne's Frontier Days ahead of his show there Friday night. The previous mark was held by George Strait.

"It's such an unbelievable thing to even have your name uttered in the same breath as a guy like that," said Aldean. "Strait is probably the best country singer of the last century in my opinion. I can only hope for a career that lasts half as long as his...there is still no one cooler than King George!"

This news comes on the eighth anniversary of Aldean’s debut album release. The self-titled disc featured smash singles “Hicktown,” “Amarillo Sky” and his first-ever No. one song “Why.” Since 2005, Aldean has gone on to sell more than eight million copies of his five studio albums, rack up 11 No. one singles and sell out stadium shows.
